• The Rehearsal art collective in Los Angeles commemorated a new season with another POAP, and after discovering POAP Collections jumped on the chance to create one.

Farcasters across the globe met IRL at the first “Farcaster Fridays,” and there were POAPs at many of the events, including in Los Angeles, Bangalore, Zurich, Chicago, and to those who checked in online.

In Los Angeles, a lively group of a few dozen braved near-record heat to meet at The Brig in Venice, among throngs of “First Friday” food trucks on Abbot Kinney Blvd. Most were local to the area — though “local” for some still meant significant travel time via car, bus, or train — but there were even a dedicated few who flew in from Singapore to join the fun.

The POAP was distributed by a friendly gentlemen in a cat-themed Hawaiian shirt carrying a custom-branded disc embedded with an NFC chip, AKA a POAP Beacon, making minting easy as tapping a phone. The shirt and POAP served as great conversation starters, with collectors recalling their first POAP or their favorite POAP, excited at the opportunity to collect another:

For some it was their first POAP ever, as the crowd was a nice mix of Web3 OGs and newcomers. Despite one man’s challenge that he could break any onboarding flow in Web3, first-timers found the collecting flow simple and streamlined. Most used an existing wallet, but a small percentage chose to reserve via email and (hopefully) mint to a wallet later.

These Farcaster POAPs continue what is now a long and increasingly popular tradition; there have been more than 100 POAPs dropped from Farcaster communities in all corners of the planet, collected by ~2,500 different people dating back to 2022. Los Angeles kickstarted its Farcaster POAP collection with many Drops at FarCon earlier this year. Farcaster Fridays, and the POAPs to preserve these moments in time and remember with whom you shared them, will continue next month!

• At the FarSight Summit in Seoul, attendees enjoyed an awesome POAP Fun raffle.
• The Ethereum Follow Protocol is dropping a POAP to anyone who beta tests on testnet before their Mainnet launch.
• The lovely ETH Warsaw POAP:

• Scaffold-ETH also dropped a POAP at ETH Warsaw.
• Doodles dropped POAPs at their “Dood Ranch” side event at the Toronto International Film Festival, where they premiered Dullsville and the Doodleverse. Attendees tried to collect 10 POAPs featuring 10 Doodles characters, with the POAPs hidden on posters and cardboard cut-outs. Anyone who collected all 10 received a limited edition pin that unlocks future perks.
• Lens x SheFi x ALLSHIPS dropped a POAP at an event at the ALLSHIPS creator house in Brooklyn.
• Top casters on Farcaster who are eligible for “Warpcast Rewards” are also eligible for a POAP, via POAP Delivery:

• SheFi x Coinbase dropped a POAP at their “Liberty Night” event in Brooklyn.
• A POAP for being a mentor at a hackathon in Nairobi, hosted by Plus x Polygon x MPESA x PrivadoID.
• A POAP for attending Workshop 1 of the Home Staking Summit in Singapore, the first of several POAPs at these events in the coming weeks. There is also currently a POAP for visiting an exhibit at the ArtScience Museum in Singapore on Ethereum’s past, present, and future.
• Another POAP from the Web3 Acceleration Association in Lubbock:

• Participants in the first-ever Framedl PRO Word Cup were whitelisted for a POAP, using POAP Delivery. Players were proud and appreciative to collect it.
• A POAP for visiting an exhibit at the JRNY Gallery in Las Vegas.

• POAPs at meetups in Portland, Hong Kong, Mexico, Tegucigalpa, and Singapore.
